Seoul Gazette - Fan Engagement Technology Company Tradable Bits Will Help Tasmania's AFL, AFLW, NBL and WNBL Franchises Build Deeper, Direct Relationships With Fans

The Tasmania Devils have selected Tradable Bits to help build their fan engagement and data strategy ahead of their AFL and AFLW debut in 2028, while the Tasmania JackJumpers have renewed their partnership with Tradable Bits, which began in 2024. The renewed partnership comes as the organization expands its presence in Tasmanian basketball with the launch of the Tasmania Jewels, which begins their inaugural WNBL season in October 2026.

Together, the partnerships give Tasmania's emerging and established professional sports organizations technology to better understand their audiences, build direct fan relationships and deliver more personalized experiences. With approximately 580,000 people living in Tasmania, an estimated 250,000 Tasmanians living elsewhere, and significant potential among new and unaligned sports fans, the opportunity extends well beyond the island.

"Tasmania has a unique identity and sense of community," said Mike Morris, General Manager, APAC at Tradable Bits. "Both the Devils and JackJumpers have a special opportunity to build incredibly strong fan relationships by understanding who their supporters are and what matters to them. Our role is to provide the technology, flexibility, and hands-on support to help them do that in a way that is distinctly their own."

The Tasmania Devils represent a new chapter in the state's long football history. Tradable Bits will help the organization develop a comprehensive understanding of its emerging audience, connecting fan engagement and first-party data across digital experiences and other touchpoints as the club builds toward 2028.

"As we build towards 2028, we have a unique opportunity to understand our supporters from the very beginning and use that insight to shape how we engage with them. The Devils already have an incredibly passionate community, but our audience extends well beyond traditional football fans and beyond the state itself. Tradable Bits gives us another way to build direct relationships with those supporters, better understand what matters to them and create more relevant and personalised experiences as the club grows," said Brodie Nicholson, Head of Data and Technology, Tasmania Football Club

The Tasmania JackJumpers, which entered the NBL in the 2021-22 season, will continue using Tradable Bits to strengthen direct relationships with supporters and create interactive experiences that generate fan insights and commercial opportunities. That work will now extend across a growing basketball organization that includes the Tasmania Jewels, giving the organization an opportunity to understand and build relationships with fans as its women's team takes the court for the first time.

Launching the Jewels is the biggest thing to happen to basketball in this state since the JackJumpers themselves took the court. We didn't want to build that fan base from scratch on a separate system. Tradable Bits lets us bring the same playbook that's worked for the JackJumpers straight across to the Jewels, without doubling our workload. We're not just running two teams; we're building two fan bases with very different starting points, and Tradable Bits gives us one place to actually understand who those fans are and what they want rather than guessing," said Karl Geiger, Head of Marketing & Events, Tasmania JackJumpers & Jewels.

Tradable Bits supports sports organizations at every stage of growth. Its flexible technology and service model combines fan engagement, first- and zero-party data, analytics and more than 60 integrations across ticketing, merchandise, digital marketing and other fan touchpoints, with hands-on support and managed services tailored to each organization's needs. That allows Tradable Bits to support established leagues and clubs at scale while also helping emerging organizations build their fan foundations from the ground up.

As Tradable Bits enters its next phase of growth, the company is focused on helping sports and entertainment organizations move beyond simply collecting fan data to building a deeper understanding of each fan, turning every interaction into intelligence that can strengthen loyalty, personalize experiences and create long-term value for fans and organizations alike. Tradable Bits offers flexibility to be able to provide unmatched support to both large-scale sports clubs and leagues, as well as resources and managed services to optimise connection and growth for smaller, start-up operations like PWHL.
